Becoming an Outdoors-Woman
"Becoming an Outdoors-Woman (BOW) is an educational opportunity that teaches hands-on outdoor skills to adult women (18 and older) in a safe, supportive atmosphere. BOW is a non-profit, non-membership program offered through Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism. BOW workshops are designed especially for women who are beginners, so no experience is necessary. Equipment and instruction are provided by patient, enthusiastic instructors."

Kansas Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever 2014 State Habitat Convention
"Growing the Tradition"
"Open to the public, the state meeting is an opportunity for local sportsmen/women and chapters to meet with professionals and discuss concerns and opportunity regarding the upland wildlife in their area. The habitat heavy event will also focus on youth, women, and dog enthusiasts in Kansas. Representatives from Pheasants Forever, Quail Forever, Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism (KDWPT), the Kansas Association of Conservation Districts, Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and local landowners are slated to present on landscape challenges and success in the state."

NWTF- Women In The Outdoors Archery Day
"Women ages 13 and up are encouraged to attend this informative and fun-filled day of exploring every aspect of archery, from recreation to hunting. You will learn Bow Basics & Safety, how to buy a bow, where to shoot your bow, and then get hands-on instruction and practice. You will shoot FITA targets, 3D targets and even participate in some fun games. The event is limited to 50 participants and pre-registration is required."

Outdoor Writers of Kansas- Fall Conference
"Since its inception in 1962, the Outdoor Writers of Kansas (OWK) has been a voice for the Sunflower State's many outdoor-recreation opportunities. From a newspaper article highlighting the appeal of hunting pheasants in the state's wide-open spaces to a radio show broadcast straight from the fishing boat, members have kept Kansas residents in touch with the outdoors for more than 40 years now. "

"For ladies only... This all-inclusive fly fishing school hosted by Backwoods Wichita will cover fly-tying, casting, and fishing. We will even be serving a home cooked meal for students. All equipment is provided but you are welcome to bring your own. The class is limited to 12 women."
